IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING

Iittala is initiating a product recall of the Iittala Aalto and Iittala Kanto block candles. Product safety testing has shown that the candles may pose a potential fire hazard during use. 

The recall concerns the following products:

Reason for the recall 
Product safety testing has shown that the candles may develop wick clubbing, which can result in higher-than-normal flames, increased smoking, wax dripping, and, therefore, a potential fire hazard. 

For this reason, the products must be removed from use. 

Instructions for consumers 
Consumers are asked to stop using the candles immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. No receipt is required. 

Products received as gifts may be returned to any Iittala store or through Iittala Customer Service. No receipt is required. 

These products were launched on 17 October 2025 and have been sold in Iittala stores, shop-in-shops, the Iittala online store, and through selected retail partners across Europe. 

Iittala has notified all relevant market surveillance authorities in accordance with applicable legislation. This recall does not concern Iittala Aalto scented candles poured into ceramic vessels.
